Goliath Gantry Cranes are special hoisting equipment for hoisting and turning over hull sections on the dock, slipway or platform of the shipyard.

Due to the large span of the Goliath Gantry Cranes, the gantry usually adopts the type of rigid legs on one side and flexible legs on the other side, that is, the rigid legs on one side are fixed to the main beam, and the flexible legs on the other side are connected to the main beam through flexible hinges.

There are two types of main beams: single main beam and double main beam. According to the requirements of shipbuilding technology, the shipbuilding gantry crane should have multiple functions such as single lifting, double hook lifting, triple hook lifting, hull section turning in the air and micro rotation in the air, especially to meet the requirements of the hull section turning and closing operation. The shipbuilding door machine generally has two upper and lower trolleys. The upper and lower trolleys run on their respective tracks, and the lower trolley can travel under the upper trolley.
